This website is operated by Virdane Labs Ltd., an independent game development studio and consultancy based in Nairobi, Kenya. When this policy refers to “we”, “us” or “Virdane Labs”, it means Virdane Labs Ltd.

What data we collect and why

We collect personal data in only one way on this website: when you voluntarily submit the contact form. The form collects your name, email address, the reason for your enquiry, and your message. We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not use it for marketing, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with any third party beyond what is necessary to deliver it to our inbox (see “Third-party processors” below).

We do not collect any data through browsing this website. This site uses Vercel Analytics, a privacy-first analytics tool that is active on all pages. It does not use cookies, does not track individual users across sessions, and does not collect any personally identifiable information. It provides us with aggregate, anonymous data on page visits only — numbers, not people.

Third-party processors

Contact form submissions are processed by Formspree, a form processing service. Formspree receives your submission and forwards it to our inbox. Neither Formspree nor Vercel receives any data beyond what is technically necessary to operate these services.

This website is hosted on Vercel, which processes web traffic as part of delivering the site.

How long we keep your data

We retain email correspondence, including contact form submissions received in our inbox, for up to 2 years. After this period, messages are deleted in the ordinary course of managing our communications.

Under the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019 and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:
